MAKE AN IMPACT

Your Contribution Makes a Difference

At CASA of NELA, we are dedicated to advocating for the most vulnerable children in our community. While becoming a volunteer is one of the most direct ways to support our mission, there are many other ways you can make a difference. From financial contributions to in-kind donations and spreading awareness, your support helps ensure that every child has the chance to thrive in a safe and loving home. Explore the various ways you can contribute to CASA of NELA and join us in making a positive impact on the lives of children in Northeast Louisiana.

CASA WISH LIST

Help Us Stock the CASA Gift Closet

At CASA of NELA, we believe that the small things in life can make a big difference for the children we serve. Thanks to our wonderful community partners, we have established the CASA Gift Closet—a special place where our volunteers can find essential items and thoughtful gifts for their CASA children. From school supplies to hygiene products and birthday presents, these donations help brighten the lives of children in foster care. The CASA Gift Closet is more than just a collection of items; it's a source of hope and joy for the children we serve.

If you or your organization would like to contribute to the CASA Gift Closet, there are two ways to get involved! You can shop our Amazon Wish List or drop off the donated items to our office. If you would like to drop off items, please reach out to Leslie Bryan at lbryan@standforhope.org or call 318.398.0945.

Gift Cards

Gift cards allow our program to purchase needed items as they come up. From helping bio parents with needs, to buying school uniforms, gift cards allow us to meet the unique needs of our CASA children. Suggestions: Walmart, Target, Visa Gift Cards, restaurant gift cards, etc.

School Supplies

Children in foster care come into care throughout the year which means we need school supplies year-round. Suggestions: notebooks, crayons, pencils, markers, scissors, backpacks, etc.

Hygiene Products

Because children in foster care move around often, it is easy for their personal items to be left behind. Having personal care items is just one way to establish normalcy. Suggestions: Hair care, body wash, tooth brush, lotions and sprays, etc.

Icon4.png

Visit Activities

Our volunteers work to build a connection with their CASA children. The main way we accomplish this is through play. Play allows us to build trust and communication. Suggestions: Board games, puzzles, card games outdoor activites, etc.

Books

Literacy is a huge area of deficit for children in foster care. We encourage our volunteers to take books to their CASA children in order to promote reading.

Birthday Gifts

Every child should feel special on their birthday. Often that is not the case for foster children. A small act may make their day. Suggestions: gifts under $20, birthday party supplies, gift cards for cakes, etc.
